Why Harry Potter

Harry Potter is one of the most loved characters in the history of literature. And the books have broken through where many others couldn’t. So, what is it about Harry Potter and his fantasy world that is so great? Read on to find out.

  • Believable
The world created by Rowling is so believable—it’s just like ours, except with moving staircases and talking portraits. And it has the Weasley’s. Rowling has a special talent for creating an image in the reader's mind, giving just enough details to make you intrigued and leaving just enough else to the imagination.
  • Mystery
The seven books are so inter-connected, you will be baffled. The keys to the climax of the seventh book is laid in the first. So, this is your cue—if you haven’t read the series yet (really?)—don’t skip any book in the series.
  • Relatable
The books are just so relatable. You sympathize with Harry on his treatment by the Dursley’s, and it makes you think you can be a wizard too. After all, aren’t we all just as oblivious as Harry to our wizarding heritage.
  • Hogwarts
Anyone who has read Harry Potter has fallen in love with Hogwarts. And Hogsmeade. And Diagon Alley. You get it, right? It certainly made our muggle schools seem incredibly boring and lacking in... well, magic.
